The studio is on the third floor of the building. There is a small retail section that is in the front desk section, as well as a wall of lockers. The room for class is huge and brings in a lot of light. There are bathrooms but no showers.
I have been wanting to try SLT for a long time now. I have always been intimidated by the megaformer, which is why I waited so long to try pilates. Now that I have tried it, I want to go all the time.
The class starts with a few exercised focusing on your core. After a few core exercises, you will start a series of exercised that focus on one side of the body. Think full body exercised that work every muscle on one side of the body: calves, hamstrings, thighs, arms, obliques and more! Before switching to the other side, you will do a series of core exercises that focuses on that same side, as well as arm exercises. Your finale will be some cardio and core exercises!
Note that all of the exercised in SLT are small and slow movements to really burn every muscle in your body!
If you are nervous or intimidated by the megaformer like I was, I promise you it is not as scary as it looks! This is a full body toning workout that will leave your muscles shaking by the end. I have already gone back since my first class and definitely will keep going back!
