The studio is a pretty open space. They have a small section of retail you can shop from. They also have cubbies for you to put your stuff away in. I brought my own mat and non-slip towel, but you can rent both if you do not own them!

The yoga room is pretty hot when you walk in and gets to be around 105 degrees.

This class is normally pretty crowded, so I would get there early to get a good spot in the room. All you need is a mat, a non-slip towel, a towel for yourself, and water. When you set up your mat in the room, you will grab weights to use throughout the class. I typically grab a set of 5 lbs and 8 lbs, but you can go as heavy or light as you want. The teacher will let you know when you can go heavy or light.

I took Michelle Porter’s class, who has been teaching at RHY since 2015. She played up beat music to keep the energy up in the room and made the class go by quickly. We started the class with an easy vinyasa flow, which then started to incorporate weights into it. We did rounds of squats, lunges, and much more to focus on our lower body. We also incorporated weighted arm movements while doing lower body movements to get a full body workout.

You will leave the class dripping sweat and your muscles shaking.

If you are looking to mix up your yoga practice, this is the place to go. You can still do normal Hot Yoga but have so many more options. I will definitely be back!
